International Human Rights Convention–2026 Held Successfully in New Delhi

New Delhi, 10th February, 2026: The International Human Rights Convention–2026 was successfully held on 08 February 2026 at the India International Centre, New Delhi. The event was organized by the National Human Rights & Crime Control Bureau (NHRCCB). It was a dignified and meaningful convention that brought together voices from across the country.
The convention was held under the leadership of the Hon’ble National President, Dr. Randheer Kumar. Office bearers from different states, social activists, administrative officials, academicians, legal experts, and human rights defenders took part in the program.
In his inaugural address, Dr. Randheer Kumar said that human rights are not limited to constitutional provisions. He described them as a continuous process to ensure justice, dignity, and security for the weakest sections of society. He praised the national and state teams of NHRCCB for their discipline, sensitivity, and commitment.
The inaugural session included an address by Ms. Kristina Ananina, First Secretary, Embassy of Russia. She described human rights as the foundation of global peace and international cooperation. The Convention Souvenir was also released during this session. Other speakers included Mr. Pankaj Kumar (CBIC, Government of India), former Rajya Sabha MP and BJP National General Secretary Mr. Dushyant Gautam, and NHRCCB National Patron Mr. Jai Prakash Nishad. They highlighted human rights as the soul of democracy and shared the organization’s future vision.
Two important panel discussions were held on “Crime Control vs Human Rights” and “Human Rights in the Digital Age.” Experts from administration, police, law, education, journalism, and the digital sector shared their views. The discussions focused on balancing security, law enforcement, and human rights.
The participation of the Odisha State unit was especially notable. Delegates from Odisha actively contributed to various sessions. Their work in human rights protection, organizational growth, and social justice received appreciation at the national level.
Special support was provided by Odisha State President Mr. Devi Prasad Sahu. During the National Human Rights Awards–2026 ceremony, several individuals from Odisha were honored for their outstanding contributions. This recognition boosted the morale of the state team.
The success of the convention was due to the dedicated efforts of many office bearers. These included National Secretary Mr. Girish Chandra, Delhi State President Mr. Abhiranjan Kumar, Legal Advisor Mr. Vikas Tiwari, National Coordinator Mr. Prabhat Mishra, Mr. Suresh Purohit, Odisha State President Mr. Devi Prasad Sahu, Chhattisgarh State President Mr. Jatinder Pal Singh, and Haryana State President Mr. Mohinder Pal Dhaniya.
In the valedictory session, senior leaders stated that the convention was not just an event. It was a national resolve to strengthen human rights awareness across India. In his concluding message, Dr. Randheer Kumar said that unity among all states gives new energy and direction to the human rights movement.
The convention ended with a strong pledge to uphold constitutional values, human dignity, and social justice.
