New Delhi: Vice-President of India Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan released the book "RSS @100: A Century of Service, Unity & Sacrifice" at Uprashtrapati Bhavan. The book has been authored by Shri Shyam Jaju and Shri Anupam Trivedi.
Speaking at the event, the Vice-President said it was a privilege to be part of the release of a book celebrating the centenary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He said the organisation has promoted the values of service, unity, sacrifice and national consciousness over the last 100 years.
Comparing the RSS to the holy Ganga, Shri Radhakrishnan said the organisation has worked selflessly for the welfare of society. He added that the Sangh has inspired generations through its commitment to nation-building and public service.
The Vice-President praised the authors for highlighting the organisation's journey of preserving India's cultural heritage, traditions and values. He said the principles of service, unity and sacrifice have guided lakhs of volunteers across the country.
He also highlighted the role of RSS shakhas in developing leadership, discipline and character among young volunteers. According to him, dedication and selfless service strengthen both individuals and society.
Referring to a chapter in the book on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Shri Radhakrishnan said the Prime Minister's journey from Swayamsevak to Pradhan Sevak reflects the ideals of "Seva" and "Nation First" in governance.
The Vice-President said the centenary of the RSS is an opportunity to recognise the contribution of its volunteers, whose commitment has helped build one of the world's largest voluntary organisations.
The event was attended by Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta, IGNCA President Ram Bahadur Rai, RSS Kshetra Sanghchalak Pawan Jindal, the co-authors, and several other dignitaries.
