Nationwide Protest Against Dharmendra Pradhan Intensifies

New Delhi: Protests demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan intensified across the country on Sunday as thousands of students, parents and activists gathered at Delhi's Jantar Mantar. The demonstrations gained fresh momentum following the hospitalization of activist Sonam Wangchuk during his hunger strike and continued calls for action over alleged examination irregularities and paper leaks.

Despite heavy police deployment, barricades and administrative restrictions, protesters remained at Jantar Mantar late into the evening, vowing to continue their agitation until their demands are addressed.

Current Status of the Protest

The nationwide movement remains active, with demonstrations continuing in Delhi and several other states. Protesters are demanding the resignation or dismissal of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, a transparent investigation into alleged examination mismanagement and paper leaks, justice for affected students and their families, and appropriate action regarding the hospitalization of Sonam Wangchuk.

Leaders of the movement submitted a memorandum outlining their demands to BJP President J.P. Nadda. However, the Central Government has not announced any decision on the resignation demand. Protest organizers have stated that the agitation will continue until a satisfactory response is received.

The movement has also drawn support from several student groups, civil society organizations and political parties in different parts of the country, resulting in parallel demonstrations in multiple states.

Chandbali Protest

In Odisha, the Chandbali Citizens' Forum organized a protest march in Chandbali of Bhadrak district in support of the nationwide movement. Under the leadership of the forum's convener, Muhammad Pur Noor Allam, participants marched from the local Chandbali Kali Temple carrying the National Flag and banners while raising slogans.

The protesters later held a demonstration in front of the Chandbali Tehsil Office and submitted a memorandum addressed to the President of India through the Chandbali Tahasildar. The memorandum demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and called for fair and transparent reforms in the country's examination system.

The Chandbali Citizens' Forum said it stands in solidarity with students, parents and citizens across India seeking accountability and reforms in the education system.

Protesters Ashish Kumar Behera, Malay Bhoi , Badrinath Nayak, Minoranjam Raut, Prakash Nayak, Kahnu Charan Parida, Subhendu Pratap Vishal, Ghanashyam Das  and others participated prominently in this movement.
