Key Weather Highlights
Northwest India
- Light to moderate rainfall is likely over Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan.
- Thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds reaching 40–60 kmph are expected in many areas.
- Thundersquall winds of 50–70 kmph may occur over Haryana, Delhi, and western Uttar Pradesh.
- A fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect the Western Himalayan region from June 11.
Central India
- Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Vidarbha are expected to receive scattered rainfall during the week.
- Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and strong winds are likely.
- Chhattisgarh may experience thundersquall conditions on June 7.
East India
- Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Sikkim, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands are likely to receive widespread rainfall.
- Heavy rainfall is expected over Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands on several days.
- Thunderstorms and strong winds are likely over Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, and West Bengal.
Northeast India
- Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura are expected to witness widespread rainfall throughout the week.
- Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely, especially from June 9 to June 13.
- Thunderstorms and lightning may occur across the region.
West India
- Konkan & Goa are likely to receive widespread rainfall until June 9.
- Heavy rainfall is expected over Konkan, Goa, and parts of Maharashtra.
- Gujarat, Saurashtra, Kutch, Marathwada, and Madhya Maharashtra may witness scattered rain and thunderstorms.
South India
- Kerala, Coastal Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Lakshadweep, and Rayalaseema are expected to receive widespread rainfall.
- Coastal and Interior Karnataka may experience very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall between June 8 and June 10.
- Kerala is likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall from June 7 to June 13.
- Thunderstorms with gusty winds are expected in many southern states.
Odisha Weather Outlook
- Odisha is likely to experience scattered rainfall from June 7 to June 13.
- Thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds of 40–60 kmph are likely from June 9 onwards.

Heat Wave Warning
Heat wave conditions are likely in isolated areas of:
- West Rajasthan (June 7–11)
- Haryana, Delhi, and Punjab (June 8–11)
- East and West Uttar Pradesh (June 9–11)
- Himachal Pradesh (June 9–10)
- East and West Madhya Pradesh (June 10–11)
- Coastal Andhra Pradesh (June 7–8)
Temperature Trend
- Maximum temperatures over Northwest India may rise by 2–3°C until June 10.
- Temperatures are likely to fall by 2–4°C thereafter.
- No major temperature changes are expected over the rest of the country.
Fishermen Warning
Fishermen are advised not to venture into:
- Odisha and West Bengal coasts from June 7 to June 9.
- Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal from June 7 to June 12.
- Central Bay of Bengal from June 7 to June 10.
- Arabian Sea areas adjoining Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Oman, and Somalia coasts during the warning period due to rough sea conditions and strong winds.
