OAV Celebrates 79th Independence Day Across Odisha
Bhubaneswar, 15th August 2025: Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya(OAV) schools across the state celebrated the 79th Independence Day with patriotic fervor and enthusiasm. The celebrations began early in the morning with students assembling in the school premises for the flag hoisting ceremonies.

Bhubaneswar, 15th August 2025: Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya(OAV) schools across the state celebrated the 79th Independence Day with patriotic fervor and enthusiasm. The celebrations began early in the morning with students assembling in the school premises for the flag hoisting ceremonies.
In different OAVs, dignitaries from various professions were invited as guests of honours. At an OAV in remote part of Bhadrak district, Dr. Ashok Kumar Mishra, Chief Medical Officer of Chandbali CHC, graced the occasion. In his address, Dr. Mishra emphasized the values of brotherhood, prosperity, and unity urging students to grow into responsible citizens.
The programs included inspiring speeches by teachers and students on the significance of Independence Day, the sacrifices of freedom fighters, and the importance of national unity. Students also showcased cultural diversity by presenting traditional dances, patriotic songs and performances reflecting Odisha’s rich heritage. Some even revived extinct cultural practices to highlight the nation’s strength in unity amidst diversity.
To mark the day, school staff and students also organized march pasts through nearby villages. They further contributed to environmental awareness by planting saplings along the newly built school roads.
The Independence Day celebrations at OAV schools not only honoured the nation’s freedom but also inspired the younger generation to uphold values of unity, culture and responsibility.
