Bhubaneswar, Odisha, 26th August, 2025: A low pressure area is likely to form in the Bay of Bengal by today-tomorrow. It is likely to move through central and western Odisha at a very moderate speed till the next 30th August 2025.
Its main impact is likely to be between 29/30th August from today. Mainly in coastal (south), south and south-western districts (Ganjam, Gajapati, Khordha, Nayagarh, Puri, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Balangir, Nuapada,) the most likely impact today. The impact is likely to be more in the said districts in the next 3-4 days.
In the next 24 hours, light to moderate rainfall is likely at a few places in north coastal and adjoining districts and in south, south-western districts with heavy rainfall at one or two places in coastal districts, the impact is likely to increase in south, south-western districts tomorrow.
