Cyber Security Awareness Programme Held at Matto College

A cyber security awareness programme was organised on the premises of Matto college by Aam Police Samiti of Chandbali Police Station in Bhadrak district and Matto Degree College under the National Service Scheme (NSS) of the college. 

The programme aimed to sensitise students about growing cyber threats, social media misuse and online frauds in the age of artificial intelligence (AI).

College Principal Bibhuti Bhushan Jaydev Biswal presided over the programme, while SDPO Prabhas Kumar Sahu attended as the chief guest.

Chandbali Police Station IIC Paresh Mohanty and Banshada Police Station Officer Mohammad Hafeez discussed various aspects of social media use and explained how digital platforms can be misused for cybercrime, particularly with the growing use of AI.

Officer-in-Charge of Matto Outpost Ashish Kumar also briefed the students about common cyber frauds and the precautions they should take in their daily lives to protect themselves from online scams.

The programme was conducted by NSS Coordinator Madalasa Mallick, Sports Teacher Shivaprasad Mallick and IT Professor Devaswarup Mallick. Head of the Department of Political Science Dilip Kumar Samal proposed the vote of thanks.

Faculty members, non-teaching staff and students attended the programme and contributed to its successful organisation.
