Bhadrak 10th July: A large voluntary blood donation camp, tree plantation drive, and fruit distribution programme were organized in Chandbali to mark the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.
The main programme was held at Biju Smriti Bhawan, where people from different sections of society participated in the blood donation camp. Fruits were distributed to patients at Chandbali Medical College, while a tree plantation drive was conducted in Bhuibruti Panchayat to promote environmental protection.
The programme was presided over by Kamalakanta Sutar. BJP State Mahila Morcha President Dr. Aishwarya Biswal and BJP Bhadrak District President Bhagwan Panda attended the event as chief guests. They distributed fruits to patients, planted saplings, and encouraged people to donate blood for saving lives.
A large number of social workers, youth volunteers, and local residents took part in the programme. Speakers highlighted the life, patriotism, and contribution of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee to nation-building and social service. The organisers thanked all blood donors and supporters and appealed to the public to continue participating in such welfare activities in the future. Senior BJP leader Purnachandra Pani, Ajay Nayak, Upendra Roul, Nilamani Panda and others were present in the grand blood donation camp.
